Hello friends! I’m Manju Mittal. Today we’ll make Healthy Oats Chilla. I’m taking a cup of oats, grinded. My family really likes this recipe, so I always keep oats ground like this. So I can make it quickly for breakfast or dinner. These are ground in the grinder in the form of powder. Here I’ll take 1 cup of Oats I’m also taking an onion, finely chopped. I’m taking a medium sized tomato, taken the seed out and have taken only it’s wall then chopped it finely. I’ll add these too. I’m taking 1 tablespoon of finely chopped coriander leaves. 5 – 6 cloves of finely chopped garlic. This is up to you, you may add or leave it as per choice. Half teaspoon of ginger and green chilli paste. You can fine cut the ginger or even can grate it, but I am using paste here. Half teaspoon of red chilli powder. Half teaspoon of salt. One-fourth teaspoon of black salt. Half teaspoon of chaat masala. It adds a nice sour kick. You may also add lemon juice if you wish. We’ll add one-fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder. It adds a beautiful colour. One cup oats powder almost needs about a cup of water. But depending upon the quantity of vegetables, the quantity of water may increase or decrease. Here I have taken 1 cup of water but I won’t put it all together. Will add a little & check And now will mix it. Now see, this consistency is perfect. We have left out with one-fourth cup of water. We have used three-fourth cup of water. I’ll keep it aside for 5-10 minutes. So that Oats & vegetables bind together very well. When this puffs up a bit, the chilla will turn out nice. So we’ll leave it aside for 5 minutes. As you can see, it is ready now. It has risen well, the vegetables have mixed too. I’ll turn on the gas. I’m using sesame oil, it’s very healthy. You may use ghee, butter or any vegetable oil. I’ll put only a bit of oil. I’ll spread it on the griddle with a tissue. I won’t make very large chilla. Medium sized chilla will turn out nice. These will be really crispy. We’ll add half-teaspoon of oil. And leave it on the medium flame. So that it cooks very well. Otherwise the oats will remain raw. This is a very healthy recipe, as oats contain a lot of fibre. It keeps you full. It also helps in your weight loss. Now we’ll turn it over. It turned really nicely. I’ll put half teaspoon of oil. We’ll make it crisp on medium flame, and now it is ready. I’ll put it on the plate. You can serve it with different kinds of chutneys. Do check out our chutney video for this.
