Grilled Tilapia (Grilled Fish) | Flo Chinyere

Hello! Today we’ll grill tilapia. Here are the ingredients you will need but
please don’t take my word for it. This is fish so feel free to use your favourite
scented vegetables, herbs, spices and fruits to season your fish. Let’s go! I first of all pound the garlic and habanero
pepper. … then parsley … Crush the stock cubes. Make a marinade by mixing everything in the
vegetable oil. And prepare the rest of the ingredients. This fish has been scaled, the intestines
removed and rinsed. Here I’m drying the water with a paper towel. Next, make slant cuts on the fish like this. I usually keep cutting till I hit the bone,
that big bone in the middle. Do the same on the other side. Now, stuff the inside with a few orange wedges. You can see that the gill area is like a pocket. I requested that the fish monger removed the
gills and intestine without cutting the side of the fish. This way, the ingredients you put in there
will not fall out. Now start applying the marinade in the cuts
we made earlier. Add the
orange wedges and onions on top. And finally, wrap it up like a nice gift and
place in the fridge to marinate for 1 hour. This improves the taste of the fish. After that, put the envelopes on the grill
rack, place in a preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Rub the barbecue sauce and grill for 10 minutes
more. I served mine with these fruit skewers so I’m adding
them right now. Grill till the fruits are a little bit charred
and that’s it! Serve with mixed vegetables, rice, fried plantains
or just a chilled drink. Yum yum yum!
