Grilled Chicken Wings With Easy Cajun Dry Rub | Cait Straight Up


Hey guys my name is Caitlin and welcome back
to Cait Straight Up! We are doing something really fun today, we
are doing a Cajun Dry Rub for our wings poolside, cause it’s summer! This dry rub comes by request from one of
you so I definitely wanted to get it up here and if any of you guys have a request out
there feel free to share it and lets get started. Gotta have beer by the pool. The secret to keeping a wing nice and moist
when you are grilling in just a dry rub is to soak it in distilled white vinegar for
about an hour first before grilling it. Now you don’t have to do that but I’m telling
you, that’s the way to go. So we had our wings soaking for about an hour
and we laid them out on this nice tin here with a paper towel. I like to do that because we are going to
pat them dry, so you really want to dry them out before we get that rub on them. So just pat out with a paper towel just drying
them off so we can grill them up. We’re just going to place these all into a
container, they are nice and dried out so we can shake them up in our rub. We’re making our rub our wings are in here
we got some salt and pepper. We’re then going to do about a tsp and a half
of garlic powder, same of onion powder, some ground cayenne pepper to taste, if you like
spicy go ahead and douse that on. Some all spice and about two tsp of paprika. And we just put our top on like this and shake
them up real good so everything gets nice and colored. We are then going to put them aside for at
least and hour and heat up our grill so we can get them on. We got our hair tied back so we don’t light
up over here. We’re going to give our grill a spray and
then it is time to get our chicken wings going. We’re just going to lay our chicken wings
onto our grill, it is heated to about 350 degrees, and we’re just going to lay them
all out like so. Easy enough right. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to fully cook
your wings. You’re going to want to make sure they are
cooked all the way through cause safety first right we gotta make sure our chicken is done. Just go ahead and rotate your wings so that
each side gets nice and cooked on your hot grill. Look at those nice grill marks, all with a
Corona in hand. When our wings are done we are just plopping
